Suber House was founded in Lisbon by two partners with roots in Italy and South America. Portugal produces nearly half the world’s cork, yet most independent producers lack the commercial infrastructure to reach international buyers directly. We exist to close that gap.
We do not manufacture or hold stock. We act as a rigorous commercial bridge, mapping verified Portuguese supply to verified demand across Europe and beyond, and managing the relationship through to delivery.

Natural Cork Stoppers
We source natural, technical, and agglomerated cork stoppers from independent Portuguese producers, primarily in the Alentejo and Santa Maria da Feira clusters. All batches are sourced with full traceability documentation, and we match cork grade to buyer specification, from entry-level agglomerated to premium natural monopiece for aged wines.

Cork Insulation & Construction
Expanded cork panels, granules, roll cork, and façade cork for the sustainable construction sector. We focus on FSC-certified supply aligned with LEED, DGNB, Estidama, and Passivhaus requirements, and work with buyers who need CE-marked products with accompanying technical datasheets and EPD documentation.

Producer Qualification
We visit producers in person, primarily in Alentejo, Coruche, and Santa Maria da Feira, to verify production capacity, certifications (FSC, CE, CIPR), quality consistency, and minimum order flexibility. We do not work with producers we have not evaluated on-site.

Buyer Identification & Outreach
We conduct structured commercial outreach, email, LinkedIn, and direct calls, to qualified B2B buyers in our target markets. We qualify intent, volume requirements, lead times, and certification requirements before presenting a supply proposal.

Proposal & Matching
We prepare a tailored supply proposal, with product specifications, indicative pricing, lead times, and certifications, and manage negotiation between buyer and producer. We operate transparently on both sides, with no hidden margins on either end.

Order & Delivery Coordination
We coordinate logistics (LTL road freight for EU, sea freight for GCC), customs documentation, and quality control sampling. For first orders, we request a sample sign-off from the buyer before full production dispatch. We stay engaged through delivery confirmation.
